Ep #65: My Asian American Heritage Story with Dr. Li Huo

Dr. Li Huo is both an OB-GYN in California and a life coach.  She wrote the Women In White Coats Blog article “What’s In a Name.”  In this episode of the podcast she expands on her story of the meaning of her Chinese name, the challenges it has brought her, and the pride she has developed in her heritage.  We discuss her experience with bias, her response to the overt aggression against Asian-American individuals over this past year, and her suggestions on how to acknowledge, educate, and advocate on a local, regional, and national level.   She encourages us to be open minded and a willing listener at heart.
